Thaba Putsoa FKT project
What is it?
The 'TP FKT' is a route from the gate of Pulane Children's Centre, to the peak of the tallest mountain in the vicinity, 'Thaba Putsoa.' Runners sign up, visit us, run the route, and place on the FKT board. Simple as that. By contributing a suggested donation, we raise money for the Pulane Children's Centre.
The route quick stats:
+-25km return route, 1500m Vert.
Start at 1660m, (5440') to TP summit at 2939m (9642').
Mostly donkey trail running but the last pitch to the peak is off trail.
Thaba Putsoa is only 543m lower than the highest peak in Lesotho.

What we as Pulane Children's Centre provide:
GPS tracks ahead of time.
Rustic accommodation (dormitory style with basic cooking equipment, electricity, non-flushing toilets, no running water)
An FKT 'Patch' and position on the FKT board for all finishers who prove their summit with a 'summit selfie.'
An amazing experience in the mountains, guaranteed.
What exactly will proceeds go to?
They will go to covering a few expenses, and the rest goes into an FKT fund for Pulane Children's Centre (PCC). This fund will be set aside towards a Modular Jungle Gym that we have wanted to get for a long time. To see more about PCC check out the home page.
After covering small basic costs, all proceeds go towards a new playground for PCC Children.
Donations can be given when in Pulane.
